Where has the summer gone?? It went by WAY too quickly! Maybe it had something to do with the fact that we were home every other weekend all the way from May to the end of June! Or that fact that summers go by so much quicker when your a teacher because school keeps starting earlier and earlier? Whatever the reason, summer ended for me this week. I started back to school on Monday for an inservice week, and the students will start this coming Monday! Am I ready??? NO!!!! I am so thankful for Ryan, because he has been doing a lot to help me in my classroom. He moved all the heavy furniture around, hooked up all 6 of my computers, hooked up my SMART board, put new paper on all my bulletin boards, sorted some files for me, cut out all the things I had laminated, and organized my storage closet! What a nice guy! I just have a few small things left to do, like put students names on cubbies and desks. Speaking of students, so far I am at 19 in my class, which is a lovely number to have. Most likely it will be changing the first couple days of school as more students enroll or transfer.
Other than school, we have been doing lots of other things, including buying a new car!! We purchased a Ford Edge a couple of weeks ago and are loving it! It's a crossover. It has so much more room than what we are used to, which will be great for when Jack gets here! It's also 5-star rated on safety, which is very important for transporting a baby, and was also important to us when we were deciding what to get. It's weird to think that we drive a "family car" now, but we really really like it!
We also got a new grill! We go some money for one from our wedding (yes, a year ago) and never got around to buying one, and well, with all the extra "cravings" I've been having, we thought it would be a good time to finally go get one! Plus, autumn down here is BEAUTIFUL and perfect for grilling. We are hoping to use it clear up until Jack is born. Yes, its that nice here in November!
We've also been doing a lot of "wheelin' and dealin'" on Craigs List. We recently sold my vanity, our big tv, and Ryan's car on there! We were able to sell all the items within a couple weeks. We sold the vanity to make for more room in Jack's room, plus it was only used for a "catch all." We sold our tv because it was too big and took up too much room, (we're in the market for a new one), and we sold Ryans car, because there is no reason for us to have 3 cars! Craigs List is a great tool if you are looking to sell some of your stuff!
In baby news...nothing really new to report here. Jack is kicking a lot every day, and my belly is getting bigger and bigger! We head to the doctor again on Aug. 26 for our glucose testing. My heartburn has really gotten a lot better (I still take an occasional Pepcid), however, I'm starting to have some lower back pain. Thank goodness for a husband who knows how to give good back rubs!
Thats all there is to report from Wichita for now...hope everyone is well! We miss all of you!
Ryan using our grill for the first time! We had bacon-wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, and delicious brats!! PREGNANCY HEAVEN.

Linwood Elementary 1st Grade Team during inservice week: DeLynne, Stacey, Arrena, Ashley, and Amanda! Gearin' up for another year!
