We have had a GREAT October so far. Wonderful things are happening around here, including the birth of my beautiful new niece,
Chandler Jae Schumacher (Jae is also my sister's middle name)!! She was born on Oct. 15 in Harlan, and she is BeAuTiFuL. We love the latest addition to our family.

The next weekend, we headed back to Ryan's hometown, Fairbank, for some time with family and friends. Grandma Diane had lots of fun things planned including making Halloween masks, baking pumpkin bars, carving and painting pumpkins, and of course, Iowa football :)

This past weekend, we traveled to Grinnell to watch our nephew, Noah, play soccer. It was so fun. The kids of course had a blast, and love hanging out with their cousins. At one point, Jack said "I wish Zach could be my brother!"

Zach and Jack. I can't believe he's going to be in high school next year! He is so good with Jack and Lia. I've really enjoyed seeing him grow up and mature into the wonderful young man that he is.

Zach, Lia, Noah. Noah had a great game, and came SO close to scoring a goal. His team won, and Jack was shouting from the sidelines, "Hi Noah!" "Noah, I'm over here!" "Can you hear me, Noah?" "GOOOO Noah!"

Lia was making new friends during the game. She has no fear.

Our half time entertainment--Lia attempting to get over this fence. Could she have walked under it? Yes. This was was much more fun though.
We carved Jack's pumpkin on Sunday night. He had a lot of fun picking out what shapes he wanted to the eyes, nose and mouth. He and Lia will trick or treat on Wednesday night in Norwalk. Conversation on Sunday night:
Me: Are you going to touch the pumpkin guts?
Jack: Thats called PULP mom, not guts.
Me: How old are you again?
And then this coming Friday, we get to celebrate my Uncle Dan's wedding! We are so excited to welcome Ashley to our family! Jack is super excited that he gets to wear a BELT with his pants, and not only that, but a TIE too!!
