Well, it's January, it's cold, I wake up in the dark, and practically drive home in it, and spring break is a L O N G ways away! January always seems to take forever! Although we are smack dab in the middle of winter, we've been doing lots to keep ourselves busy around here! Here are some photos of what we've been doing over the last week.

Sledding at Norwalk High School! They have a huge hill, and Jack got a new sled for Christmas. Here we are all going at the same time, but Jack went several times all by himself and had a BLAST!!

"Can we do it again? Can we do it again?"
Jack and Daddy also built a giant snowman this weekend, but I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of it before the sun got ahold of it :( |

Nat and Andrea have season tickets to Drake basketball games, so we took Jack to the Drake vs. Missouri St. game this weekend. He had a lot of fun. Uncle Nat even caught Jack a new Drake t-shirt!

Jack was all smiles wearing Uncle Nat's hat! All smiles that is, until he saw Spike (the mascot) then he was a little nervous and needed to sit on someones lap.

I think Jack must've had his eye on Spike....

What better way is there to spend a freezing cold Saturday morning than playing with shaving cream? We made mountains, roads, cakes, and practiced writing letters/names!

Update on Jack's glasses: New ones have been ordered and should be here within the week!
And I couldn't sign off without a picture of Lia, so I'm sharing the picture we've chosen to use for her "display" at the Des Moines Heart Ball coming up in February. She will have a surgery picture alongside this one with her story written underneath it. I know you all have seen lots of surgery pictures, so I'll just share this adorable one. Hopefully whomever comes across Lia's story at the ball will be encouraged to donate the the American Heart Association.
