Since tomorrow is Father's Day, I have decided to dedicate this blog to all the "fathers" in my life. Each one of them is very special to me.

My Husband: Soon-To-Be-Father
Ryan is my best friend and soul mate. I'm not sure how I functioned through life before I met him. We have been happily married for almost a year and are preparing to welcome our first "bundle-of-joy" into the world in November. I know Ryan is going to be a wonderful daddy. He is patient, loving, understanding, forgiving, always knows what to say, hardworking, nurturing, and I could go on and on.

My Dad: One-of-a-Kind Father
Some of my favorite memories of my dad include playing basketball in the driveway, him dancing around our house like a crazy man, his chester cheetah impression, finding exotic animals in our ears, making sure we all had a cherry in our bowls of fruit cocktail, and most recently, walking me down the aisle!

this is an older picture of my dad, but this is what I remember him looking like growing up. Isn't he handsome?

Grandpa Rosien: Grandpa Extraordinaire
My Granpda Rosien is a wonderful grandpa! I was lucky to have grown up in the same town that he lived in, so I got to spend lots of time with him! Some of my favorite memories are being on the golf course with him, him teaching me how to drive, spending the night with him and grandma, him cheering me on during YMCA soccer and basketball, the gum he always kept in his truck, and many more.

Grandpa Bolsem: Funny Guy

Grandpa Bolsem: Funny Guy
My Grandpa Bolsem always knows how to make me smile! Since I didn't live in the same town as him growing up, the weekends and holidays that we got to spend together were extra-special! Some of my memories of him include, trips to DQ (a luxury we didn't have in Washington), letting me pick out my own nail polish at age 4 (the only one who stuck up for me when we came home with a bottle of bright blue nail polish), the smell of his pipe, looking at Christmas lights, and most recently, he officiated Ryan's and my wedding. Something I will treasure for the rest of my life!
This picture I have of him on here is typical him: Goofing around, always making us laugh!
I don't think I could ask for a better father-in-law! I'll never forget how nervous I was to meet Ryan's parents for the first time, but Maury put me right at ease. He made me feel comfortable in their house. Some memories I have with Maury are: teaching me how to use a gun, shooting pheasants (I know--me?), driving a riding lawn mower for the first time (I thought it was so cool), and living with him and Diane for a month last summer before out wedding. Sometimes I will say to Ryan "you just sounded just like your dad when you said that" and Ryan will say "that's a good thing!" and I couldn't agree more!

Thanks to all my "fathers" for all they do! I don't know what I would do without any of you!
Happy Father's Day!
