Yesterday marked 5 years of wedded bliss for Ryan and I! Hard to believe how fast those 5 years have gone. I am often reminded of how much God has blessed me with an amazing husband and two wonderful children. I have so much to be thankful for! We celebrated by spending an afternoon at the pool, and taking the kids out to eat with us to the OP, (The Other Place) which was one of our favorite date spots when we lived in Cedar Falls. We had a great dinner, followed up with some cheesecake from the cheesecake factory, which we waited to eat until the kids were in bed! It was a great day.
In other news: We had Lia's semi-annual heart checkup with Dr. Lozier this past week. She did not have an echo this time, as we only have to do those once a year now. She had an EKG and chest x- ray, which both looked GREAT! Dr. Lozier said that her heart is enlarged, which it always will be...but it's not TOO enlarged. She is breathing well, has good skin color (most of the time), and is growing like a weed! (Again, so much to be thankful for!)
If you haven't already heard, some of my wonderful girlfriends from Washington, are hosting a benefit golf tournament and silent auction for Lia. We would love to have you come golf for a great cause with us! The tournament is Sept. 1st in Washington, with dinner to follow at the Washington Golf and Country Club. You can register your team at: liaheartwarriorbenefit@gmail.com
I am including some pictures below of some fun things we've been doing, including Jack and Lia's trip to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa.

Our dear friends, Nat and Andrea, just welcomed their fist baby! Sweet sweet Camden was born on July 26, THREE weeks early! He is so precious. Nat and Ryan have been best friends since they were very young, and Nat was the best man in our wedding.

The cardiologists office has a great view of 235. Jack loved watching the cars and trucks go bye. He was such a good boy while he waited for Lia. Whenever we go to the cardiologist, as soon as Jack sees the building, he says 'are we checking Lia's broken heart today?' He's a great big brother.

We had a great time at Music on the Plaza in Altoona last weekend. These are some of my favorite Willowbrook girls! And no, we did not all plan to wear orange!

Ryan and I babysat Trey and Eli a couple weeks ago. We spent one of our afternoons at Gray's Lake. We had a fun time paddle boating, hydro-biking, seeing the ducks (yuck), and eating ice cream.
Grandma Sue and Grandpa Jeff took J&L to the zoo last Saturday. They had a blast!! Here are some pics from their time.
