Before I begin, let me tell you that this blog is a mix of random things happening in our lives over the last week or so....
We went home last weekend to Iowa to welcome home Spencer from Iraq! It was so good to see him. We had fun spending some time with him. We of course had lots of questions for him about his time over there! Ryans parents threw a welcome home party for him, so we also got to see some family friends too, which was nice.
Is it horrible that the whole time I was home, I didn't get a single picture of Spencer? Oops!

People mingling at the party!

Sarah trying on some of Spencer's Army gear. I tried it on too, but the picture of Sarah is MUCH cuter. Boy, that stuff is HEAVY!!

While in Iowa, we also got to spend a night in Norwalk with my parents! It was good to see them as well! When we got there, we got to open our very first present for the baby! An adorable Hawkeye onesie! Can't wait till the baby can wear this!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Rosien!

Now that I am officially 12 weeks, I thought it would be a good time to break the news to my class that I was going to be having a baby. What better way to do that than through a classic game of hangman?? (Thank you Brooke, for the wonderful idea)

When my kids finally finished the puzzle, they went CrAzY!! They were SO HAPPY for me! A couple of girls, amidst all the cheering, were telling everyone to be quiet because they were going to wake up the baby! I thought that was so cute! I'm thinking this might work in the future as a way to get them to be quiet?? We'll have to see....

Me at 12 weeks! I know what your thinking, and YES, I had to undo my pants, because when they are buttoned my belly looks more like a nasty beer gut than a pregnant belly, so from now on, prepare for prego pics with the pants unbuttoned :)

In other Linwood Elementary news, these were the shoes that one of my reading group students wore to school today. Not only do they not match, they are both lefties! Uncomfortable? I think so. The student said that he couldn't find the matches when he was getting ready for school this morning, so he just decided to wear those. Maybe the start of a new fashion trend?
