We had a great time on our honeymoom/New Years celebration in Vegas! We saw 2 different Vegas Shows, saw some famous people, got lots of sight seeing in, spent some time with our good friends Brooke and Adam, and most importantly, got to spend some quality time with each other! We stayed at the Stratosphere hotel, which is located on the far north end of the strip, so each day, we would take the monorail to wherever we wanted to go on the strip. We decided that the next time we go, we would like to stay somewhere closer to the middle. Because we were there over New Years, there were SO MANY PEOPLE!! It was estimated that over 300,000 people crowded onto the stip at midnight to enjoy the fireworks display! I have attached several pictures below.
We are glad to be back home in Wichita. We were SOOO tired when we got home. It was nice to sleep in our own bed again. We now have the rest of the weekend to ourselves before it's back to reality on Monday.
The last two weeks have been amazing. We got to spend time at home in IA with friends and family plus our honeymoon. Now the countdown begins to spring break, when we will be home again for Nate and Kim's weddig, which Ryan is in.

This is on NYE. We ate at 'Tender Steakhouse' located in the Luxor. It was by far the nicest restaurant either of us had ever eaten in. Kris Angel was eating in the room right next to us! He had all his security with him, and when he walked out, he took one picture with a little boy, but didn't take any others. Our waitor informed us that he doesn't like to be bothered while eating.

This is right before going to the show 'Fantasy' at the Luxor. We went to the show before eating dinner on NYE. I owed Ryan a "fun" show like this because he went with me to Phantom of the Opera.

This is a picture of the fountains at the Bellagio. They are choreographed with music. The fountains are all computerized. Its AMAZING to watch. They go every 15 min. for the entire day.

The Statue of Liberty at 'New York New York'

The MGM has a $9 Million lion habitat located inside of it. I was able to get a spot right next to the glass to take this picture of a lion chewing on a rawhide bone. It was really cool to see them this close up.

Brooke and Adam were in Vegas the same night as us, so we were able to meet up with them for dinner one night. We went to 'Dick's' located in Excalibur, where the waitors are purposefully insulting and rude. They make you wear these paper hats and they write really insulting things on the hat...if you aren't able to read the hats, trust me, its better that you can't.

Ryan and I infront of a statue at Caesar's Palace. It was beautiful there, and had lots of great shopping! While we were there, we saw Pete Rose signing autographs. I tried to get a good pic of him, but it didn't turn out too well.

This was taken inside the Venetian before going to the Phantom of the Opera, which by the way, was AWESOME!!! (Ryan even liked it...) In my opinion, The Venetian, is one of the prettiest hotels in Vegas. When you walk in the front doors, you are in awe of the beautiful sculptures and paintings. The ceilings are painted to be like those of the Sistine Chapel.

This is a picture I took from standing at the bottom of the Stratosphere. The Stratosphere is the tallest building west of the Mississippi, and comes complete with thrill rides at the top! Two of the rides dangle you over the edge, which of course, when you have a husband who is afraid of heights, doesn't work too well.
